The Maltese
The Maltezer is the bridge between then and now. The first specialty beer from Maastricht, which first delighted palates in 1954 at the historic Ridder Brewery. Yet, at the same time, it is young at heart and full of future potential. A full-malt Dortmunder beer where sweet and bitter go hand in hand. An icon, named after Saint Martin, the patron saint of the poor. And with that, the foundation of the philosophy of Stadsbrouwerij Maastricht: connecting people.
A helping hand, a source of support, an arm around the shoulder. Then. Now. Always. Good deeds bring good rewards. For this reason, the brewery donates a portion of the proceeds from every bottle sold to the Order of Malta in Malta. Because without history, there is no future.
