Winemaking

100% Chardonnay uit Contessa Entellina. De vergisting vindt plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks bij gecontroleerde temperatuur. Daarna rijpt de wijn vijf maanden op de fijne gistbezinking, gevolgd door verdere flesrijping. Dit geeft extra rondheid, terwijl de fruitige frisheid behouden blijft.

Serving suggestion

Serveer op 10–12 °C in een ruim, tulpvormig wittewijnglas. De wijn kan direct na openen worden geschonken; in het glas ontwikkelen de fruitige en bloemige aroma’s zich verder.

Tasting note

Helder strogeel van kleur, met geurige aroma’s van tropisch fruit, citrus en delicate witte bloemen. In de mond levendig en verfijnd, met een mooie balans tussen fruit en frisse zuren. De afdronk heeft een subtiele minerale toets.

Food pairing

Heerlijk bij groenterisotto, zeevruchten en visgerechten. Ook kip met verse kruiden of een hartige groentequiche sluit mooi aan bij de frisse, licht ronde stijl van deze Chardonnay.

Description

Grape variety/vinification This lovely wine is made from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Contessa Entellina DOC. The wine is aged on its lees for several months and then for another few months in the bottle. Tasting note This La Fuga has a beautiful straw-yellow color. The nose offers delightfully fruity aromas of pineapple and white fruit, accompanied by herbal hints of thyme. On the palate, it is a very lively wine, thanks to its freshness and mineral notes. Food pairing La Fuga pairs very well with risottos, seasoned chicken, and fish dishes.
