Add walnuts, sugar, rum, vanilla, and cinnamon"... no, this isn't the recipe for Slovenia’s most famous festive pastry; it’s the recipe for an exclusive creation by Clef! This beer, strong and sweet, is meant to be enjoyed only on the most special days of the year, in the company of your loved ones. Our Potica Pastry Stout is brewed with carefully selected grains—light and dark, common and unusual, roasted and sweet—using Slovenian hops to balance the sweetness, and a very long boil to achieve perfect caramelization. Finally, we added the ingredients of our favorite Slovenian dessert. We carefully toasted the walnuts, crushed them, soaked them in rum, and added them to the fermenter. And for a final touch of good luck, we added pieces of real Potica (the traditional Slovenian rolled cake) made by grandma herself.
